Delores (Cherry) Cureton

Mrs. Delores Cherry Cureton daughter of the late Roosevelt  and Amanda Robinson Cherry, was born June 15, 1948 in Union County, North Carolina . And departed this life on Friday, December 20,  2019 at Atrium Health in Charlotte, North Carolina. 

Delores joined Silver Mount Baptist Church at a young age and attend Matthews Murklin Presbyterian once married. 

Delores married to the late Robert Lewis Cureton on June 28, 1987 until  his death. She worked  at Lance Inc. for many years, After retiring from Lance she became a mother to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Emmitt Cherry, four sisters: Pauline Cherry, Carrie Belle Cherry Witherspoon, Brenda Joyce Cherry Morrison and Eleanor Maxine Cherry Alexander.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Two children: Donna Cherry and Urundi Cherry (Ernestine),  grandchildren: Shaniya Cherry and Keshawn Cherry all of Charlotte, North Carolina. Two godchildren: Jakeena and Justin King of Charlotte, North Carolina. Six sisters: Rosa Covington, Dorothy Laney of Waxhaw, North Carolina. Betty Barrett of Monroe, North Carolina. Agnes Johnson (Thomas), Debra Holliday (Horace) all of Charlotte,North Carolina, Virginia Smith (John) of Alexandria, Va. Two brothers: James Chery (Joyce) of Gainsville, Fla. and  Ronnie Cherry (Sandra) of Waxhaw, North Carolina. three brother-in-laws: Melvin Witherspoon, Robert Morrison, Sr. and Curtis Alexander along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
