Mrs. Geraldine (Dike) Crowder Huntley was born July 27, 1947 in Peachland (Anson County) North Carolina to the late Fred and Eva Sturdivant Crowder. She passed April 1, 2019 in the Carolina Medical Center - Main, Charlotte, North Carolina.
Geraldine grew up in the Hamilton Town Community, Peachland, North Carolina. At an early age she confessed her faith and joined New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Peachland, North Carolina. She later became a member of the Nicey Grove Missionary Baptist Church and remained faithful until her health declined. She attended and graduated in 1966 from E. Polkton High School in Polkton, North Carolina.
She met and wedded the love of her life, John and was married for 49 years. During her leisure time she enjoyed watching Tyler Perry Shows (Madea). She lived for her grandchildren whom she adored. But most of all she loved God.
Geraldine was a sibling to 11 children. She was preceded in death by: Freddie, Georgiana, Bobby, Carrie, Franklin, Mary, Frances, Peggy, and Larry.
Left to cherish her memories her husband: John of the home, three children: Timothy Huntley (Teneshia) of Marshville, North Carolina, Belinda Huntley of Wingate, North Carolina, and Terry Huntley (Melica) of Greenville, South Carolina; grandchildren: Quozia, A’Kiya, Jada, Sa’Naa, Derrick, Kobie, Summer, Kaneesha, and Latikka; five great-grandchildren: Artis, Serenity, Lyric, Aja, and DJ; two siblings: Shirley Crowder of Asheboro, North Carolina and Eva Crowder Brewer (Thomas) of Charlotte, North Carolina; special friends: Mattie Crowder and Sarah Staton; special cousins: Juanita Crowder Jackson, Loretta Crowder Stanley, and Rosa Dean Bennett; brothers - in - law: Henry Huntley (Lena) and Floyd Huntley (Margaret) both of Wingate, North Carolina along with a host of other relatives and friends.
