Mrs. Hildren Jordn Hilton transitioned from earth to glory on Saturday, November 16, 2019, surrounded by loved ones at the home of her dedicated caregivers, Wayne and Delma Hilton in Charlotte, NC. She was born on June 5, 1927 to the late Cull Pepper and Lillie Perry Jordan in Monroe, North Carolina.
She was a woman of faith and belief in the Lord, and accepted Christ as her personal Savior at a very early age. She joined Flag Branch Baptist Church of Monroe, NC and was a devoted lifetime member. Over the years, she gave generously of her time, talents, and resources, serving as a member of the Choir, Repast Committee, Usher an volunteering for many activities until the onset of declining health.
At a young age, she met and married the late Virgle C. Hilton. To this over 52 year union nine children were born. She was a treasured wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She took great pride in the care and nurture of her family, and shared many moments with them. She enjoyed life, had a sharp sense of humor and loved music.
In the community, she was affectionately called "Ms. Hilton" and known by many through her work with children at the Winchester Day Care Center, and through her support of the "Annual Night Out" activities chaired by her late former sister-in-law and friend Annie (Honey) Jordan.
She was preceded in death by her children: Twins: Melven and Selven, Curlee, Lillie Anner, Hilda,James (Donnie).
She leaves with treasured memories her three sons: Otis C. Hilton of Waxhaw, North Carolina. Calvin Hilton (Glendora) of Allen. Texas and Wayne E. Hilton (Delma) of the home in Charlotte, North Carolina. fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
