James Charles Ricketts (J.C) son of the late Lacy and Annie Ross Ricketts was born in Anson County on February 8, 1932. He transitioned from earth to glory on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at CHS-Union in Monroe, North Carolina.
He was employed as a painter with Roseland Apartments in Charlotte, North Carolina for many years.
J.C. enjoyed fishing, horseback riding and raising his own horses.
He was married to Susie Hamilton Ricketts for 38 years.
To cherish his memory he leaves his wife Susie of the home; a daughter: Patricia Ann Ingram of Kernersville, North Carolina; two stepdaughters: Cheryl and Sandra Leak of the home; four sister-in-laws: Mary (Lyndell) Austin, Linda (Ellison) Bowman, Ethel Blackmon and Louzetta Baker; three brother-in-laws: V.L. Hamilton, Pete Hamilton and Jerry Hamilton all of Charlotte, North Carolina; three grandchildren: Mario Ingram of Kernersville, North Carolina, Robert (Tamika) Ingram of Brown Summit, North Carolina and Yasmin Ingram of Lewisville, North Carolina; three great-grandsons: Camden and Alan Ingram and Alan Leak; one great-granddaughter: Ashley Leak and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
