Pauline Williams Obituary

Mrs. Pauline Gibson Williams, daughter of Center Gibson and Henriette Hall Gibson was born May 14, 1934 in Union County, North Carolina and made the heavenly transition on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at her home.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers. She graduated from Winchester High School and attended Philadelphia School of Technology. During her early years she was a member of Langford Chapel CME Church in Monroe, North Carolina. After uniting in holy matrimony to Arthur Roosevelt Williams she moved her membership to Mt. Olive A.M.E. Zion Church and later she joined Heavenly Ministries under the leadership of her daughter Pastor Christina Threatt.

Pauline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and sister. She loved to read and do word search puzzles, dancing, walking and most of all visiting yard sales. Her greatest was being a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories her husband of 63 years: Arthur Roosevelt Williams of the home; children: Mrs. Sherry Mumford (Bennie) of Waxhaw, North Carolina, Tony Williams (Glenda) of Monroe, North Carolina, Mrs. Helena Rivers (Milton), Mrs. Marilyn Heath (James) of Monroe, North Carolina, Davey Williams (Angie) of Camden, South Carolina, Pastor Christina Threatt (Eustace) of Waxhaw, North Carolina and Mrs. Janice Watkins (Jerry) of Monroe, North Carolina; brother: Walter Gibson, Sr. (Ethel Lee) of Monroe, North Carolina; sisters: Mrs. Dora Rushing of Las Vegas, Navada, Mrs. Elizabeth Long of Concord, North Carolina, Mrs. Corrine Torres of Charlotte, North Carolina, Mrs. Ella Mae McCray (Alfonzo) and Mrs. Johnnie Morrow (Bill) of Monroe, North Carolina; forty grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law: Hercules Williams; sister-in-law: Martha Morrison along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
