Roosevelt McCaskill

Roosevelt McCaskill, son of the late Cicero Beatty, Sr. and the late Ella May Thomas was born on September 25, 1934 in Raeford, North Carolina. He departed this life on Monday, July 22, 2019.

Roosevelt was a graduate of Second Ward High School and attended classes at Central Piedmont Community College. He is a veteran of the U.S Army. Roosevelt retired from AirBorne Express after being employed over 25 years. He was a devoted member and deacon of New Beginnings Christian Ministries in Monroe, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, his step-father James McCaskill, one sister Priscilla Beatty-Edens and one brother Cisero Beatty Jr.

Roosevelt leaves to cherish his fond memories: His loving wife Margaret K. McCaskill; five children: Michelle Sanders (Jeff) of Gastonia, North Carolina, Sir Ronald McCaskill of Monroe, North Carolina, Howard King of Forest City, North Carolina, Renee’ Sanchez (Tyrone) of Monroe, North Carolina and Denise Truesdale (Rickey) of Waxhaw, North Carolina; eight Grandchildren: DaShon Truesdale, Damonia Truesdale, Jekeva Mobley and DeAmbra Truesdale  of Waxhaw, North Carolina, Derrick Truesdale and Jeremiah Mobley, Charlotte, North Carolina; Jamelle Sanders and Jeffrey Sanders, Jr of Gastonia, North Carolina;   His step-mother,  Martha Beatty of Raeford, North Carolina and seven siblings: Larry Beatty Sr. (Ernestine), Mable Stephens, Rebecca Dudley (George) of Raeford, North Carolina; Artis Beatty (Betty) of Durham, North Carolina, Joyce McDougald (John) of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Jerry Beatty (Vicki) and Linda McQueen (Jerry) of Southern Pines, North Carolina, three great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
