Ada Mae Black Obituary

Ada Mae Crowder Black was born in the Buford community of North Carolina to the late

Weldon and Daisy Crowder. On March 15, 2026, after a blessed journey of 90 years, she

peacefully departed this life to be with the Lord.

Ada received her education in the Monroe, North Carolina school system. It was there that she

later met and wed the love of her life, the late John Black, Jr.

A woman of joy and vibrant spirit, Ada was known for her infectious smile, her quick wit, and

a laugh that could brighten any room. She found her greatest happiness in her family,

especially her grandchildren. A true lover of the simple joys in life, she was a dedicated "fish

lover" who took great delight in cooking and eating the fresh "pound fish" caught and

prepared by her son-in-law.
