Mr. Alexander Kennedy, whom some may know as Slick Slack, pop, 

Mr. Paw Paw, was the son of the late Boyd Kennedy and the late Ada 

Mae Montogomery. He was born May 9th, 1946 in Union County, North 

Carolina. 

He departed this earthly life on Wednesday April 8th, 2026 at 

Presbyterian Hospital in Matthews, North Carolina. 

Alexander was educated at Macedonia and Western Union Public 

schools. He was employed many years at Genwove US LTD in Indian 

Trail, where he was a boiler technician.

Alexander was a faithful member of Zion Hill Christian Fellowship 

Church where he was an elder, handyman and security camera man. He 

loves what he does. He enjoyed gardening, cooking off the grill, and 

fishing. He knew almost everybody and everybody knew him.
