Andrien Corey Covington "Scat"

Mr. Andrien Corey Covington, "Scat" 42, exchanged time for eternity on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Atrium Health-Union in Monroe, North Carolina.

Andrien "Scat" Corey Covington was born in Monroe, North Carolina to the late Andrew Curtis Covington, Sr. and Jimmie Lou Houston Covington. He attended  Parkwood High School, Andrien was a professional man who cared about his family and friends.  A 'jack of many trades", "Scat" was gifted with various talents and business savvy relating to being an entrepreneur. He owned several businesses including, landscapimg services and an apartment building. 

"Scat" was a member of Greater Blessed Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Andrien possessed many positive  attributes. He was loving, kind, devoted, and family-oriented. he will  be remembered  for his smile, his sense of humor, his love for his family and friends his love for jewelry, his love for cars and just his love for life and helping others!

"Scat" was preceded in death his father: Andrew Curtis Covington of Waxhaw, North Carolina, his sister: Wendy Sabrina McLendon (Russell) of Monroe, North Carolina. 

"Scat" is survived by his mother: Mrs. Jimmie Lou Covington of Waxhaw, North Carolina. Daughter: Destinee Craig of Charlotte, North Carolina. Sons: Aaron Davis, Andrien Cameron Covington, Andrew Covington of Charlotte, North Carolina and Jahmarion Mingo of Wingate, North Carolina.  Sisters: Shirley Stewart, Shona Rorie of Monroe, North Carolina. and  Brenda Bumbray (Kevin) of Fort Washington, Md. Brothers: Andrew Curtis Covington, Jr. (April) of Philadelphia, Pa. and Andre Coy Covington of Waxhaw, North Carolina. Andrien is also survived by his three dogs: Maryln, Monroe and Grace and a host of other family members, friends and colleagues. Andrien is and forever will always be missed.
