Annie Lee Harrell, a beacon of love, faith, and compassion, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2023, surrounded by the warmth of her family. Born on April 22, 1957, in Patterson, NJ, Annie Lee's journey on this Earth was marked by 49 years of unwavering commitment to her beloved husband, Nathaniel Harrell, and the legacy of love they built together.
Annie Lee leaves behind a legacy of love through her three children: Jacinta Reed of Charlotte, NC, Nathaniel Harrell JR and his wife Miyata Scott-Harrell of Green Cove Springs, FL, and Terrence Harrell of Charlotte, NC. She was the cherished grandmother of eleven grandchildren and the beloved great-grandmother of two. Her family, both immediate and extended, was the joy of her life, and her love for them knew no bounds.
A devoted Christian and missionary, Annie Lee exemplified a selfless and giving spirit. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of many, and her generous heart was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Annie Lee's legacy is one of service, love, and the transformative power of a caring heart.
Annie Lee faced life's challenges with unyielding courage and dignity, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. She was a source of inspiration, a strong woman whose resilience and faith guided her through every trial. As a true role model of Christian values, she instilled in her children the importance of family, hard work, and doing what is right.
Born to the late Gilbert Walker and late Catherine McKinney, Annie Lee is now reunited with her brother Gilbert Goodwin, her brother Wesley Walker, and her sister Virginia Walker in eternal peace. She is survived by her three sisters, Deborah Watson of Monroe, NC, Lillian Brewer of Monroe, NC, and Catherine Goodwin of Patterson, NJ, as well as one brother, William Goodwin of Teaneck, NJ.
A memorial service will be held on December 16,2023 at Blakely’s Funeral Home, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Annie Lee's remarkable life and bid farewell to a woman whose impact will resonate for generations. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to [charitable organization or cause], continuing Annie Lee's legacy of caring and giving.
May the soul of Annie Lee Harrell find eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire acts of kindness and love in the hearts of all who knew her.
