Danny Maurice Byrd

Danny M. Byrd was born February 3, 1975 in Monroe, North Carolina departed to his heavenly home on July 30, 2019. He was born to Danny Byrd and Magdaline Brewer Byrd.

Maurice accepted Christ later in life in Connecticut where he joined New Hope Christian Ministries. He then moved to Battle Creek, Michigan and joined Community Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Sheldon B. Williams.

Maurice was a graduate of Monroe High School class of 1994. He enjoyed playing basketball, football, and baseball. His favorite football team was Denver Broncos.  Maurice was known for his smile. He never complained. He was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He had a love for cooking and posting on Facebook  what he was cooking.  He had a great connection with his friends and family on Facebook.  He was big in stature and had a kind heart, genuine man, and loved to be around family and friends, especially at cookouts.

He leaves to cherish his parents: Danny and Magdaline Brewer Byrd; father: Johnny Anderson; two daughters: Nyrese Byrd and Malaya Byrd of Concord, North Carolina; two step-daughters: Somalia Scott and Jesquanna Scott of Concord, North Carolina; step-son: Jordan Scott of Concord, North Carolina; four grandchildren: Greyson Macklin, Kayson Macklin, Jaden Scott, and Jurnee Scott all of Concord, North Carolina; three sisters: Bridgette Kilgo (Rick) of Marshville, North Carolina, Pamela Byrd of Marshville, North Carolina and Teresa Holmes (Robert, Jr.) of Charlotte, North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins along with a special cousin, Michael Harris.
