Elliott Jimmie Reed Jr, 65, the son of the late Elliott Reed Sr. and the late Julia Rose Grant, was born on Friday, May 11, 1956 in Washington, DC. 

He departed this life on Saturday October 9, 2021 at Atrium Health - Union in Monroe, NC.

He leaves to cherish fond memories to his children, Elliott Reed III (Kendall) of Monroe, NC, and Jasmine Reed of Maryland; brothers: Levi Pearson of Santa Rosa, California, Anthony Reed (Mae Helen) of Charlotte, NC, and Daryl Reed (Cleo) of Dazell, SC; sisters: Elizabeth Pearson of Maryland, Julia E. Reed of Dazell, SC, Jacquline Prioleau of Sumter, SC, Gloria V. Howard of Charlotte, NC, and Deloris Reed of Florida; two granddaughters and many other close family and friends.
