Mr. George Edward Rushing departed this life on March 19th, 2025 at Autumn Care of Marshville. George was born on June 5th, 1950 to the late Purcell and Mittie Rushing. He accepted Christ at an early age at Flint Ridge Baptist Church in Marshville, NC. He attended East Union School in Marshville, North Carolina. In addition he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Sherman Rushing and Donnie Ray Rushing. His sister Bessie Mae Henderson and nephew Mitchell Gene Little Jr. He leaves to cherish his wife Nettie Rorie Rushing. 3 brothers and 3 sisters: J.C. Keith Rushing of Marshville North Carolina, Roy Lee Rushing (Betty) of Marshville North Carolina and James Henry Rushing of Salisbury North Carolina. Mavis Jean Hudson of Wingate North Carolina, Diane Rushing Baker of Concord North Carolina and Rev. Carolyn Rushing Little of Monroe, North Carolina, a broth er in law Kenneth Henderson. One aunt: Lizzie Marsh Hubbard of Washington D.C and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
