Monroe, NC.

Throughout J.B.’s life he exemplified the values of hard work, 

dedication, love and accountability which he instilled in his family. 

J.B. attended Union County Public schools, where he took on the 

love of boxing and won metals for his talent. J.B. was employed at AEP/

Barry Global for 10 years were his work ethic was matched only by his 

commitment to his family and friends. He approached every challenge 

with a smile and unwavering optimism.

J.B. is carried on by his family who will forever carry him in theirs 

hearts. 

J.B. is survived by his loving mother Della Mae Garland. 

J.B. is also survived by his loving and dedicated wife Millicent G 

Waters of the home, two daughters Raven S. Michael, Dela Mae Waters, 

sons Elijah J. Waters, Vinson L. Garmon, Jamerik Q. Garmon, De’Lyn E. 

Garmon. Brothers Adrian Waters, Durel D. Waters, brother in laws Phillip 

B. Tyson (Sherita), Vinson R. Garmon, Randy Tyson, sister in laws Audrey 

Price (Mitchell), Stephanie Rushing (Trenia), Georgia Sturdivant 

(Prentice), Monica Garmon, Veronica Garmon, Sherita Miller, Cecilia 

Davis, a very special uncle Donald Rae Waters and his loving grandchildren which gave him such a higher purpose Zariya, Makayla, King, 

Journee, Epic, Kingston, Treasure, Kali, Isais, SirRyan and Raiden in 

which they all adored “Paw Paw.” A host of nieces and nieces and nephews 

that he loved spending time with.
