Ja'Quan (Jay) Rashad Watson

On Friday, September 11, 2020, Ja’Quan “Jay” Rashad Watson
answered God’s call and entered into his eternal resting place. Ja’Quan
was born on August 15, 1992 in Charleston, South Carolina to his loving
mother, Natasha Watson and father, Maurice Singleton. Ja’Quan
completed his high school education within the Union County Public
School system. He furthered his training and education specializing in
culinary arts through Job Corps.
Ja’Quan was predeceased by his maternal grandmother: Jerlene Watson,
his uncle: Brian “Keith” Watson and cousin: Cierra Watson.
Ja’Quan was always seen with a smile on his face and a joke on his lips.
Family and friends would describe him as a genuine hearted person and
a blessing to those around him. He enjoyed spending time with his
family and took his role as a big brother very seriously. At an early age,
Ja’Quan developed a love for music and basketball, his favorite rap
artist was Lil Wayne and he was a huge Chicago Bulls fan.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his mother: Natasha Watson,
father: Maurice Singleton, paternal grandmother: Patty Emery, maternal
grandfather: Edward Greene, Brothers: Da’Marius and Jaiden Bellamy,
aunt: Aldina (Jean) Alphee, uncle: Bernard “Marcus” Watson, and a
host of other relatives and friends.
