Jaylonda Yvette Weathers was born in Monroe, North Carolina to the late Betty Howie and Larry Howie on January 20, 1972. She attended Parkwood High School and graduated Class of 1992 in Monroe, North Carolina. She graduated from Central Piedmont Community College with her degree in Early Childhood Education. She worked at Union County Public School as an Afterschool Director for Western Union Elementary for over 20 years.
Jaylonda was a member of First Presbyterian Church until her health declined. One thing about Jaylonda, she enjoyed life, family members and many friends. Jaylonda was always there to brighten the lives of others. She loved drinking her Pepsi and if you asked her what she wanted to eat, it would be Chinese food. She would also brag about how great of a cook her husband was and her favorites were fried chicken breast and T-bone steak.
Jaylonda was an inspiration to all she knew. All who knew Jaylonda loved Jaylonda. It was often said that there was wasn’t a stranger that Jaylonda didn’t know and her spirit encouraged family and friends. Jaylonda will be missed but never forgotten.
