Jessie Parker, 67, son of the late Rev. June Parker and the late Odessa Rushing Parker, was born May 19, 1954 in Union County, NC and departed this life on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center.

He leaves to cherish fond memories his wife, Shirley Knotts Parker; sons: Jessie Parker Jr. (Christina), Tadarrius Parker (Tylece) both of Monroe, NC, and Christopher Broadway (Wetona) of GA.; daughters: Shawnte Blakeney (Anthony) of Monroe, NC, and Jessica Broadway of Wingate, NC; brothers: James Parker (Maebell) of Marshville, NC, David Parker (Geretha) of Monroe, NC, Jasper Parker of Polkton, and Rev. Walter Parker (Shirley) of Stanly County, NC; sisters: Pastor Betty Rushing (Roy Lee), Mary Lee Marsh (JC) both of Marshville, NC, and Mary King of Charlotte, NC, (12) grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
