John Harvey Deese

Mr. John Harvey Deese, son of the late James Covington and Louise Hammonds Deese was born November 17, 1939 in Union County,North Carolina and departed this life of Sunday, January 24, 2021 at his home.

He was preceded in death by brother: J.D. Covington , sisters: Evelyn Bolding, Mamie Blakeney, and Linda Morris.

He leaves to cherish his memories: His wife: Mrs. Mary Garris Deese. Sons: John Deese (Michelle) of Waxhaw, North Carolina and Larry Garris of Wilmington, North Carolina. Daughters: Ms. Gloria D. Miller of Marshville, North Carolina and Ms. Veronica Chambers of Concord, North Carolina. His loving grandchildren: Gloria Davis, Kareen Davis, Richard Deese, Travis Deese, Ceshia Kemp, Jeffery Garris, Johnathan Garris, Jessica Garris, Michael Davis, Paris Huntley, Cameron Chambers, Daniel Chambers, Kim Davis, Josh Deese and Jordan Garris, twenty-six great-grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren. Brothers: Edward Deese (Susie), Jerry Deese (Doris), Frank Deese, Kelly Deese (Betty) all of Monroe, North Carolina and Jesse Deese of Charlotte, North Carolina. Sisters: Ms. Mary Deese, Ms. Rachel Williams and Ms. Carolyn Rorie all of Monroe, North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
