Josephine Baker Alsbrooks

Mrs. Josephine Baker Alsbrooks was born January 20, 1944 in Union County, North Carolina to the late Wallace and Pauline Rorie Baker. 

She gained her heavenly wings and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 18, 2020 at Moses Cone Health Center in Greensboro,North Carolina. 

Josephine accepted Christ at an early age and served as a faithful and dedicated member of St. Davie Baptist Church for  many years.

She served faithfully on the adult choir and was a part of the Women's Auxillary.

Josephine was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years Eugene Alsbrooks, Sr. and infant daughter:  Cassandra Lynn Alsbrooks.

Josephine leaves precious memories to be cherish by three sons: Eugene Alsbrooks, Jr. of the home and was her care giver until the very end.  Minister Wesley Alsbrooks (Anita) and Alex Alsbrooks (Vontavias). One daughter: Mrs. Shelia Funderburk (Boyce) of Monroe, North Carolina .  Three brothers: Wallace Baker, Jr, Wallace Cuthbertson (Patricia) and Olin Cuthbertson (Shirley) all of Moroe, North Caolina. Three sisters: Mrs. Betty Parker, Mrs. Diane Sutton and Ms. Doris Cuthbertson all of Monroe, North Carolina. Nine grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews , cousins other relatives and friends.
