Langston Armand Smith

Langston Armand Smith, was born on December 13, 1996  to Mary Lucille Smith and the late Thurman Chambers. His young life was ended on Friday, February 7, 2020 at Atrium in Pineville, North Carolina.

Langston received the Academic Excellence Award while attending Walter Bickett Elementary. He scored the highest score in all of 3rd grade.

Langston graduated from Central Academy of Technology and Arts in 2015. There he studied Engineering. Langston served a vice president of Student Council his senior year at CATA. Langston also played in several bands and held first Chair in Percussions since 6th grade. Langston always kept himself busy with all types of extra curricular activities such as track, wrestling and football. After graduation he spent 2 years at Lenoir Rhyne College in Hickory, North Carolina.

Langston was preceded in death by his father: Thurman Chambers, sister: Jennifer Hamilton.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories: His mother: Ms. Mary Lucille Smith of Wingate, North Carolina. His sister: Ashley Earnesia Smith of Wingate ,North Carolina. A brother: Douglas Hailey of Manifee, California. A niece: Ebony Nevaeh Smith and a nephew: Mikale Elijah Smith of Wingate, North Carolina.  A special brother" Colby Covington and a special friend: Quay Threatt of Monroe, North Carolina. And a host of aunts, uncles, and friends.

My prayer is that Langston made a lasting impressions of everyone he met..
