Lillie Belle Parker Obituary

In Loving Memory of Lillie Belle Parker (1944–2024)

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our cherished Prophetess, Mrs. Lillie Belle Parker. Born in Union County on May 10, 1944, she departed this earthly life on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, surrounded by her devoted family at Atrium Hospital in Monroe, NC.

God called her home after a life richly lived, reuniting her with her beloved parents, Mr. Moses Meadows and Mrs. Ida Belle Meadows. Lillie Belle was also preceded in death by three brothers, Moses Lee Meadows, Jr., Richard Lee Meadows, and Billy Gene Meadows, and two sisters, Florine Burnette Meadows and Brenda Sue Rushing (William).

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 59 years, Pastor JB Parker, Sr. (Chico), her sons, JB Parker, Jr. and Gary Parker, and her cherished granddaughter, Renee Wright (whom she raised). Additionally, her grandsons, Mr. Quentin Parker and Gary Parker, Jr., and granddaughters, Ms. Jessica Parker, Ms. Quianna Parker, and Ms. Keena Parker, all of whom will forever carry her memory in their hearts. Lillie is also survived by her sister, Mary Ruth Firms (Jerron), and her brother, Charles Meadows (Darlene).

An active member of the First Church of God, Lillie served as a deaconess and prophetess, generously giving of herself in service to the Lord. In every aspect, Lillie was a caretaker of those she loved from her parents, to her siblings and her grandchildren. She had enough love and strength to handle it all.

Lillie was a fighter, fiercely defending her faith and her loved ones. Cross one of her children or grandchildren, and you’d quickly discover the depth of her resolve! Never one to mince words, her integrity compelled her to speak her mind and heart, and you always knew exactly how she felt.

Lillie leaves behind a legacy of strength, leadership, resilience, and unwavering love and will be dearly missed.

As we gather to celebrate Lillie’s life, a memorial service will be held at Nicey Grove Baptist Church 318 Camden St. Marshville, NC on Tuesday, July 9, at 1:00 PM, with a viewing at Blakely’s Funeral Chapel on Monday, July 8, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

May her spirit continue to inspire us, reminding us to cherish every memory and moment until the day we are reunited in the presence of the Lord.
