Marion James DuBose Jr.

Marion James DuBose Jr. son of the late Marion James DuBose Sr. and Julia Mae White DuBose was born in Anson County, North Carolina June 15, 1951. He departed this life on January 10, 2022, at Atrium Health in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Marion was educated in Union County School System East Union, Forest Hills and Anson Community College. He served in the military Army Branch.
Marion attended Meltonville Baptist Church at an early age, later he redirected his life to Christ. He was a member of the Usher Board, Choir, and a Trustee. He worked until his health failed.
Marion was preceded in death by his father: Marion James DuBose Sr.; his mother: Julia White DuBose; three sisters: Dollie Ann Horne, Ophelia Moore and Minister Kathy Chambers; one daughter: Donnita DuBose; one son: Dom DuBose; one grandchild: Mariel DuBose; and one great grandson of the home: Dom Darius DuBose Jr.

DuBose of Indian Trail, North Carolina; his children: Gaynelle Benson Wherry (Danny) of Wingate, North Carolina, Derrick DuBose of Marshville, North Carolina, Delvondria DuBose (Jerome) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Eric Oxner of Monroe, North Carolina; siblings: Patty Holmes of Monroe, North Carolina, Reddie DuBose (Linda) of Wingate, North Carolina, Craven DuBose (Roslyn) of Pageland, South Carolina; aunt: Mattie Polk of Wingate, North Carolina; two brothers-in-law: Albert Oxner of Indian Trail, North Carolina, Graylen Oxner (Mary) of Monroe, North Carolina; five sisters-in-law: Martha Wright of Indian Trail, North Carolina, Constance Thompson (Kenneth) of Wingate, North Carolina, Annette Gardner (Garry) of Charlotte, North Carolina and Israel DuBose of the home; 14 grandchildren: Terrel Benson, Preston Cuthbertson, Paris DuBose Isaac, Alexis Cuthbert-son, Dom Darius DuBose, Shonta Taylor, Twan DuBose, Shawn DuBose, DaiYuntra DuBose, Ariel DuBose, Ja’Lan McMullen, Jaylen Ledbetter, Dom Del’Marion DuBose, Dom DuBose Jr., Daiundra Evans; 16 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
