Naomi Williams Obituary

Naomi Williams was born December 1, 1946 in Union County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Randolph and Johnnie Craig Faulkner and departed this well lived life on October 12, 2020. Evangelist Naomi Williams was a member of Life Water Restoration Ministries in Monroe, North Carolina where she served faithfully until the time of her illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Libby Blakeney, Ruth Faulkner (her twin), Rushia Williams, and Macy Baker; brother: Randolph “June” Faulkner, Jr. and Ronnie Faulkner; three brothers-in-law: John Baker, Julius Blakeley, and George Bailey.

Evangelist Naomi Williams shared her life with her husband, Freddie Williams and their six children. Evangelist Naomi answered the call to ministry at a young age while serving in her family church. Naomi was a member of the family gospel group The Faulkner Sisters and Bro. June. The Faulkner Sisters and Bro. June performed in various venues such as John Pee Kee, The Author Smith Show, and a host of notable gospel groups and singers.

The Faulkner Sisters also hosted their T.V. show on Saturday’s. Naomi loved to use her voice to sing glory to God, her voice was an uplifting attribute to the community. Naomi made lifelong friends wherever she went. 

She would often say, “what a blessing it is to share such a large legacy.”  With her husband, Freddie Williams, God blessed their union with, 6 children, 20 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish fond loving memories to her husband, whom she was married to for 53 years: Freddie Williams of the home; five daughters: Nina Williams of Charlotte, North Carolina, Erika Williams (Keith) of Monroe, North Carolina, Crystal Williams (Kelly) of Monroe, North Carolina, Monica Williams of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Latrese Williams (Bobby) of Charlotte, North Carolina; one son: Freddie Williams (Katrina) of Monroe, North Carolina; sisters: Gladys Blakeley of Monroe, North Carolina, Jessie Bailey of Mineral Springs, North Carolina and Burnadette Crowder (Kelly) of Wingate, North Carolina; two sisters-in-law: Lillie Mae Faulkner (June, deceased) and Deborah Massey; three brothers-in-law: Rev. CJ Jones of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Paul Williams of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Alphonso Blakeney of Monroe, North Carolina; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
