Ollie Virginia McNair Obituary

Ollie Virginia Thomas McNair 75 of Buffalo NY passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021 at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo NY. On Sunday, January 6th 1946 in Union County, NC, she was born to Max Alexander Thomas and Fannie Virginia Rorie Thomas, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two brothers Henry Max Thomas and Bobby Eugene Thomas. One Sister Cassie Lee Barrett and beloved Brother-in- laws Kenneth Barrett and Calvin Crowder. 
Ollie joined Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Marshville, NC at an early age where she served on the Usher Board. Ollie graduated high school from West Ansonville High School in 1964. After high school she moved to Buffalo, NY and became a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she continued to be an active member. She also worked as a Nursing Assistant for many years before she retired.
Ollie is survived by her 4 Daughters: Michelle Vaughn McNair, Nnedi Okongwu, Chendo Okonggwu, all from Buffalo NY and Nicole Edwards from Las Vegas NV. Grandchildren Gabriella, Jazmon, and Ajob and 1 great grandchild Kiyri. One Sister Lucille Thomas Crowder and 2 Sister-in- laws Zura Thomas, and Pearl Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
