Rodney Alan Massey

Mr. Rodney Alan Massey, son of Mr. Albert Massey and the late Mrs. Jenny Funderburk Massey was born April 14, 1962 in Monroe, North 
Carolina.  He departed this life on Thursday July 18, 2019 at Atrium Health Union, Monroe, North Carolina.

Rodney loved to sing, especially gospel.  He also loved football and his family.  He was a concrete finisher by trade.  At a early age he joined Piney Grove Baptist Church of Waxhaw, North Carolina.

He leaves to cherish his memory two sons; Rodney Alan Massey and Alan Massey both of Marshville, North Carolina.  Four daughters; Tayloria Mickles -Rueben and Sumaria Sowell both of Charlotte, North Carolina. Destiny Massey and Tiffany Alexander of Monroe, North Carolina.  Three brothers; Albert Funderburk (Cindy) of Indian Trail, North Carolina, Timmy Massey and Terry Massey (Dione) both of Virginia.  Four sisters; Christie Massey of Monroe, North Carolina, Cynthia Massey Barnes (Roosevelt) and Anne Massey both of Norfolk Virginia and Mary Kilgo of Monroe, North Carolina. Three grandchildren; Bailey Mickles, Zoe Mickles, and Bryson Alexander.  A special friend Anita Byrd and a host of other relatives and friends.
