Mr. Ronald Lee Bivens was born Sunday March 24, 1957 in Union County, Monroe North Carolina. Ronald entered into the presence of the Lord peacefully on March 19, 2025 at Novant Presbyterian Hospital. Ronald passed after a courageous battle with cancer and now has a new body free of pain. He was the son of the late Willie Albert and Flossie Lee Staton Bivens. He joined Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church at an early age very active and involved including singing on the men's choir until his illness. Ronald “Vamp" was a very hard passionate worker who loved helping everyone. He was employed at Inlivian where he was a Maintenance Supervisor for Edwin Towers of Charlotte Housing Authority for 15 plus years. He graduated from Forest Hills High School in 1976 and thereafter graduated from Barber-Scotia College in 1983. In his college days he joined a Fraternity "Alpha Phi Omega" and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology degree. The community recognized him being cheerfully involved as a sports coach, referee and umpire. If it involved kids, he would surely lend a helping hand. If you played some music, you would definitely find him in the middle of the crowd! Ronald leaves to cherish behind his wife Cheryl, his son Jeremy (Cesslie), his daughter LaVon, his step daughter Talara (Michael) and his stepson Darius...his grandkids Makyla, Jada, Jeremy Jr., Amani, CJ, Jaylen and Samiyah.
