Rose Simon

On Friday April 12, 2019, God looked out on the battlefield and saw a beautiful flower who had labored hard and called her home to eternal rest.

Mrs. Rose Mary Simon was born on July 2, 1942 in Montclair, New Jersey.  Her parents were the late Irene and Antonio Silvia.

Rose Mary grew up in Harlem, New York where she graduated from Fashion Industries and later moved to Brooklyn, New York and raised her five children; Patricia Higgs, Eliza Williams, Julius Stokes, Edna Stokes and Rebecca Stokes.

Rose Mary had nine sisters and brothers; Russell Silvia, Joseph Silvia, Antonio Silvia, Daniel Silvia, David Silvia, Emma (also known as Aunt Bee), Marie Dorsey, Rebecca Waller, and Nancy Silvia.

Rose Marie also had 11 grandchildren; James Higgs, Jamel Higgs, Avia Williams, Myia Harvey, Elijah Viger, Julissa Viger, Andrea Dunn, Jamela Stokes, Reggie Folks, Julius Williams, Malacai Williams. 

Rose Marie was loved by many, including her great-grandchildren, sister and brother in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews
