Ruthenia Rosemary Marsh

On Tuesday, October 29, 2019 , Ruthenia Rosemary Marsh passed away at Atrium Health-Union, Monroe, North Carolina. Ruthenia  was born on January 10, 1941 in Marshville, North Carolina.She graduated from East Union School as  Valedictorian of her senior class at 16 years of age. She retired after 30 years with Culp Inc. and continued to work full time at GNC in Monroe where she was lovingly knowns as "Dr". Ruthenia. She worked there until 2014.

After studying the bible with Jehovah Witnesses, she was baptized in April 17,1961 as a symbol of her decision to begin 58 years of dedication to Jehovah's . She was a dedicated sister of her faith until she succumbed to her death. 

Ruthenia was a loving and devoted daughter, sister and aunt. she loved to knit and crochet and many were recipients of her creative work. She was very generous with her love and time and will be remembered by many for her infectious laugh.

Ruthenia was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Wilma Marsh; two sisters, Bobbie Chambers and Cynthia Marsh

She is survived by her step-mother: Georgia Marsh of Charlotte, North Carolina. Sisters: Kelyn Huntley of Charlotte, North Carolina. Bonnie Doster (Max) of Monroe, North Carolina.  Augustine Tolbert (Johnny) of Decatur, Georgia, Mary Marsh and Teresa Richardson (Warren) of Brown Summit, North Carolina . Brothers: Delbert Marsh (Oleatha) of Waxhaw, North Carolina.  Olin Marsh (Betty) and Charles Marsh (Patricia) of Marshville, North Carolina, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
