Samuel Alexander ("Sonny") Allen

The full and dynamic life of Samuel Alexander Allen came to a peaceful close, Friday September 4, 2020 at Hospice of Union County, Monroe, North Carolina.  To know Sonny was to love Sonny.  He was such a lively person with a warm and magnetic personality.  Sonny’s primary joy in life was his family, friends, music, and especially dancing.  If you were ever blessed to have Sonny at one of your events or functions then you know he was always full of laughter and happiness, forever tapping his feet to the beat or dancing to the rhythm.  At an early age he knew and accepted         Jesus as his Lord and Savior.  He was loved and will be missed by his family and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his mother;  Mabel Blakeney Wadsworth, step-father; Leroy Wadsworth Sr., father; Samuel “Sleepy” Allen, son; Michael Alexander Allen, grandson; Michael T. Allen, brother; Leroy Wadsworth Jr., and sister; Cheryl Ann Wadsworth.
He leaves to honor and treasure cherish memories: his wife; Mrs. Mattie E. Allen, son; Kenneth L. Allen (Shannon) of Monroe, NC., Great-grandson; Michael Allen Jr.,sisters: Ms. Nora Wadsworth and Ms. Doris Wadsworth both of Monroe, NC., brother; Xavier Holmes (Tia) of Charlotte, NC., a close and dear friend, Mr. Bobby Sanders and a host of nieces, nephews, great   nieces & nephews and many friends whom he loved and cherished.

The family will be at the home of Nora Wadsworth 900 Belton Street, Monroe, NC.
