Shirley Agatha Stanley Obituary

Shirley A. Stanley (Dorsett) was born on February 16, 1934, in Tarpon Springs Florida. She later in life moved to New York where she became a native of Syracuse.

She was an active member of New Life Temple of Praise under the guidance of Bishop and Pastor Cindy Drewberry until she left Syracuse on October 31, 2021.

While living in Syracuse she worked for Crusade for Opportunity and Home Aides of Central NY. She retired after 20 years of service from home aides but went to work as a caregiver for Hutchinson Psychiatric Center and Companion Sitter for A.R.C or Onondaga.

My mother quietly departed from this life on March 20, 2022, At Accordius Health in Monroe NC @ 7:15 am.

She was a lover of music. She played the piano, loved singing, loved plays, loved gospel, and loved ALL of her children, grandkids, great-grandkids, and great great-grandkids.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years Robert Stanley, daughters- Melissa, Rose, Stacey, Tynise, Iris, and her son Ellison Rod Stanley. 19 grandkids, 31 great-grandkids and 6 great great-grandkids. 1 niece Venda Rae and a host of cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Izell Sr. & Mary Francis Dorsett. Brothers Izell Jr. Dorset & Fred Scott
