Sonya Dee Cooper lovingly called “Son or Deedee” transitioned Thursday July 17, 2025, in
Charlotte. She was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer and succumbed to this disease, but
she did not go without a fight. She was predeceased by parents, Wendell Cooper Sr. and Marsha
Louise Cooper and her sister, April Lorraine Cooper.
She leaves her only child Daijah Cooper Bullock, and three beautiful grandchildren: Kyrie, Kure,
and Kavier Clark; whom she loved more than anything in this world. Her surviving siblings;
Wendell Cooper Jr (Stella), Mark Elliot Cooper and Janice Leigh Jordan. She also leaves a host
of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
