Mr. Steven Henry Collins, son of the late Sylvester Collins, Sr. and Lillie Mae Crowder Collins was born May 22, 1967 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina. And departed this life on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at his home.
Steven graduated from Forest Hills High School in 1987. After graduating , Steven worked at Monroe Print and later in life Print World where he retired. Steven joined New Meltonville Baptist Church in Peachland, North Carolina at an early age. In 2007 he joined Piney Grove West Baptit Church in Waxhaw, North Carolina. He enjoyed cooking and fishing. Steven also enjoyed spending time with love ones, laughing. Steven was a humble kind hearted person. He had a heart of gold, always willing to give a helping hand. His generosity and many acts of kindness touched everyone's heart.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Frank Collins and Andrew Collins. His parents-in-laws: James Allen Massey and Ester Mae Massey.
He leaves to cherish fond memories: His wife: Mrs. Marilyn Brown Collins of the home. Sons: Brandon Brown of Charlotte, North Carolina and Jaquan Houston. Daughters: Alexis Collins and Aaliyah Collins of Matthews, North Carolina. Brothers: Sylvester Collins, Jr., Woodrow Collins both of Peachland, North Carolina. Cecil Collins (Patricia) of Oxford, AL. Sisters: Bernice Covington, (Mott) of Waxhaw, North Carolina. Brenda Lee (Aaron) of Charlotte, North Carolina and Ollie Polk of Peachland, North Carolina. Two godson: Ah'mirr Sanders and Zach Massey. A very close family friends of the family: Walter Little, Diane and Tim Baker, Harrison and April Fraizer, Tamika and Greg Massey. In-laws: Otis Massey of Monroe, North Carolina, James Massey (Angela) of Monroe, North Carolina. Gracie Caldwell (Ronnie) of Waxhaw, North Carolina. Pandora McLendon (Garett) of Peachland, North Carolina. Janice Massey Horton (Lamont) Bracey of Monroe, North Carolina. Sharon Massey of Monroe, North Carolina. Two uncles, one great-uncle, five aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews other relatives and friends.
