On Sunday morning, October 18, 2020, our guardian angel, Tammy Alisa Covington Cureton, 57, of Monroe North Carolina moved to her special home. Tammy was a godly woman who loved the Lord and her family and set an example for her children and her grandchildren that will lead them all their lives.
Tammy was born in Monroe on March 29, 1963 to the late Emma Covington and William “Bill” Smith of Monroe North Carolina. She went to Monroe High School and graduated in 1982.
Tammy loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all her heart and she loved God’s word. Though she was a gentle, humble woman who did not mind helping anyone, Tammy was sweet and powerful prayer warrior and loved everyone. She was a member of Monroe Deliverance Center.
Tammy is survived by two daughters: Teveta McGill and Tabitha McGill of Monroe North Carolina; one stepdaughter( who she help raise): Adrienne McGill of Philadelphia; one sister: Tonia Covington; two brothers: Michael Covington and Fred Covington; two grandchildren: Tylar Lewis and Taelyn Roberts along with a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Tammy was an incredibly strong and Godly woman. She left a legacy to her family of God’s amazing love and strength and was an example to all who knew her. We look forward to the day we will be reunited in heaven.
The family would like to extend a special appreciation to Annette Eddy who was her lifetime best friend.
