Terry Jane Melgara was born July 17,1970 to Haywood Polk and Mildred Polk, in Union County, North Carolina and departed her life on earth Tuesday, January 25, 2022.
Terry attended Union County Public Schools and graduated from Monroe High School in Monroe, North Carolina.
She was affiliated with Weddington United Methodist Church Monroe Campus with Rev. Rocio Avila-Ramirez. Terry loved cooking, fishing, going to the beach and making everyone that she met laugh and tell them she loved them. Everyone's name was Baby Cakes.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Haywood and Mildred Polk and one nephew: Joshua Polk
Terry leaves to cherish her memories to a loving husband: Roger Melgara of Charlotte, North Carolina; 2 daughters: Gloria Enedina Melgara Moreno (Santiago) and Katia Denisse Melgara Moreno both of Charlotte, North Carolina; 5 brothers: Michael Polk (Joyce), Leeroy Polk, Charles Polk (Betty), Aubrey Polk (Robin) all of Monroe, North Carolina and Larry Polk (Loretta) of Peachland, North Carolina; 2 sisters: Mary Anne Reid (Danny) and Michell Thomas (Chris) both of Monroe, North Carolina; 1 loving aunt: Mattie Lou Polk of Wingate, North Carolina; 13 nieces: Andrea Polk, Shamekia Houston, Deedria Faulkner, Marquita Houston, Katrina Polk, Nikki Polk, Jessica Houston, Brandi Marsh, Tasha’ Reid, Emily Polk, Breyana Thomas, Felicia Joseph, and Adrail Reid; 5 nephews: Vonzel Robinson, Anthony Polk, Chris Thomas Jr., Isaiah Thomas, and Maurice Polk, and a host of cousins and friends.
