Tommy Lee Crowder, son of the late Thomas Crowder and the late Mattie Allen was born Wednesday, November 30, 1948 in the Township of Wingate in Union County, NC.
He accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of the Liberty Hill Church in Weddington, NC.
Tommy graduated from East Union High School in Marshville, NC and was a hard worker all of his adult life.
Tommy was the Ambassador of Union County's Townships of Monroe, Wingate, and Marshville, NC. Everybody knew Tommy and Tommy knew everybody. Always greeting all with a big smile and a warm embrace. If he was able to help, when you were in need you could always count on him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, and 1 sister: Billy, Bennie, Charles, Tyrone Crowder and Brenda Crowder.
He leaves to cherish fond memories his wife, Donna Graham Crowder; 2 children: Briana (Vegas) Gibson and Kira (Quay) Douglas; 6 grandchildren: Skyy, Jase, Layla, Cash, Genius and baby girl Amari; 1 uncle: Willie Crowder of Wingate, NC; stepmother, Leona Crowder of Baltimore, Maryland; 1 aunt, Dorothy Crowder of Wingate, NC; special cousins: Glenda (Richard) Hawkins of Indian Trail, NC and Hailey of Wingate, NC. Also to cherish fond memories his sister-in-law, Marva Graham of Charleston, SC; brother-in-laws: Kenneth Graham of New Burgh, New York and John Jackson of Myrtle Beach, SC; special friend: Adam & Crystal Baker of Wingate, NC; close friends: Sudie Allen and Tommy Wall of Monroe, NC, and DC of Franklin Street Pharmacy of Monroe, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
