Mrs. Violet Rachel "Nuchie" Jordan Stinson the youngest daughter of the late Rochel and Rachel Huntley Jordan was born on March 29, 1942. She departed this life on March 4,2021.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents, Rochel and Rachel, her brothers: Hubert Jordan, Sebern "Buddy" Jordan, James "Jay" Jordan and Heath Jordan, sisters: Mary Ruth "Fluddie" Carter and Mazell Miller.
Violet accepted Christ at an early age while being a member of Flag Branch Missionary Baptist Church. She attended East Union High School in Marshville, North Carolina and graduated from Petersburg High School in Pageland, South Carolina. She attended and graduated from Denmark Trade School where she obtained a license in cosmetology. She also obtained certification in clerical work and clerk administration. She was employed by North Carolina Mutual Insurance Company for 10 years. She also was employed by the Disabled American Veterans of Maryland for 14 years from where she was retired.
Violet entered in to Holy Matrimony to Robert Stinson on May 23, 1970. After getting married , Violet and Robert moved to Baltimore, Maryland where the enjoyed anniversaries , company conventions and adventurous travels. While in Baltimore, they were members of Milton United Methodist Church and John Wesley AME Zion Church. After returning to Waxhaw, North Carolina, they reconnected with Ebenezer AME Zion Church where Violet served until she became ill, she served as a Deaconess.
Violet leaves to cherish precious memories her beloved husband, Robert of 50 years, a sister, Betty Lou Robinson of High Point, North Carolina. Brother, Excell "Pal" Jordan (Margaret) of Monroe, North Carolina. brother-in-law. Clement Stinson (Cora) of Hopkins, South Carolina. sisters-in-law, Pauline Jordan of Monroe, North Carolina, Doretha Jordan of Pageland, South Carolina, Ruth Barrett of Waxhaw, North Carolina and Naomi Thompson of Charlotte, North Carolina. and host of beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
