Mr. William John McClain son of the late Herbert McClain was born June 6, 1945 in Cleveland County, North Carolina. And departed this life on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Atrium Hospice of Monroe, North Carolina.

William was preceded in death by his brother: Charles Herbert, sisters: Leomia Jones and Barbara Calvary McClain.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife: Mrs. Ruby Sturdivant McClain of the home. Son: Jason McClain and mother: Zettie Dowdle McClain both of Cleveland County, NC. Sisters: Ms. Ann Rickenbacker of Charlotte, North Carolina, Mrs. Geanette Hayes (Carl) of Winston Salem, NC and Ms. Virginia McClain of Gastonia. Brother-in-law (like a brother): Bunyan Sturdivant (Victoria) of Pageland, South Carolina. A special friend: Dalton Marsh, Jr., three special nieces: Pamela Jones, Priscilla Rickenbacker and Jennifer Haynes and a host of other nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
